Fine Art Wildlife Photography Exhibition by Johan Siggesson

From 5 November until the end of November, Luna Restaurant at Palazzo Parisio will host ICONS III, an exhibition of fine art wildlife photography by Maltese-based Swedish photographer Johan Siggesson.

Bringing together a selection of Johan’s striking wildlife images, the exhibition takes visitors into the wild landscapes of Africa and beyond, capturing some of the world’s most iconic animals in a distinctly artistic way.

Rather than simply documenting wildlife, Johan creates images that focus on the beauty, character and presence of his subjects. Through simplicity, strong composition and a careful use of light, distracting elements are stripped away, allowing the animal itself to take centre stage.

The exhibition features a selection of large-scale, limited-edition works, with a particular focus on some of Africa’s most recognisable inhabitants, including elephants and lions.

Set within the elegant surroundings of Palazzo Parisio, ICONS III brings the wild into one of Malta’s most beautiful historic interiors — creating an unexpected meeting between the natural world and the grandeur of the palace.

About Johan Siggesson

Johan Siggesson is a Swedish fine art wildlife photographer based in Malta.

Following his first African safari in 2012, Johan’s lifelong passion for animals and photography developed into a new career. In 2014, he left his work in graphic and web design to dedicate himself fully to photography.

His work focuses primarily on wildlife, with a particular love for Africa and its iconic animals. His approach is less about traditional wildlife documentation and more about creating images with visual and emotional impact, using composition, light and simplicity to transform fleeting moments in the wild into works of art.

Johan’s photography has received international recognition, including awards and distinctions from European Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Travel Photographer of the Year, Tokyo International Foto Awards, London Photography Awards and One Eyeland Photo Awards.

Today, his limited-edition fine art prints are collected internationally and form part of private collections around the world.
