What's on in July

Updated: 5 days ago

We’re leaving peak wedding season behind in our wake, but that doesn’t mean the Palazzo is any less busy… or any less fun. We’ve packed out the summer with plenty of reasons to visit.

Gin & Jam – Wednesday weekly

Gin and Jam is a popular favourite. Balmy nights in the garden, premium gins, exquisite cocktails and delicious bar bites compliment the tunes of some of Malta’s hottest bands perfectly. We have some new editions to the Gin and Jam schedule including Momo Rush and The Honeymakers, though we’re kept a firm hold on some of our favourites. Red Electric, Gianni & Papps, Nick Barrett and The New Victorians are all set to take the stage throughout the summer.

Jazz & Dine – Thursday weekly

Perhaps nursing a sore head from the night before, we’re introducing Jazz & Dine Thursdays, where we shift our focus back to the restaurant with dinner curated by our Executive Chef, David Giacomelli. Accompanied by jazz throughout the evening, including the wonderful Angie Vella Zarb, Mariele Zammit and Ella Pullicino, it’s a perfect combination.

Aperitivo – Weekends

The weekend is not complete without a bit of a wiggle. Why not come by the palace for sundowners on Friday and Saturday evening and enjoy a selection of cocktails, great offers on wines with bar bites. Get here early and enjoy Happy Hour with two-for-ones on cocktails while a live DJ spins tunes well into the night.

Wine Tasting and Degustation

Friday 12th July

As if that’s not enough to fill your summer calendar, we’ll be resuming our monthly date with Andrew Azzopardi for some educative and also delicious wine tasting events where he works with our executive chef to create a wine and food pairing to complement each other.

Champagne Festival

Saturday 20th July

We are teaming up with Somm Escape to hold Malta’s first champagne festival. Details coming soon.

Malta Artisan Market

Saturday 27th July

A regular summer fixture enjoyed by all, The Malta Artisan Market occupies our entire gardens for one evening. Come and check out the artisan stalls and take home some locally made products. We’ll have plenty of food and drink and our restaurant will also be open so you can refresh yourself during the evening. There is no entrance fee but it's best to book a table though as these run out pretty fast!
